Brief
Following the success of the 2015 concert, Tennessee State University wanted to sustain the momentum for their 2016 Homecoming Concert featuring Young Thug and Young Dolph. The goal was to deliver a cohesive, high-energy visual campaignβ€”spanning flyer design, promo video, and photographyβ€”that captured the spirit of Southern hip-hop and the excitement of TSU’s homecoming tradition.

What We Did
I led the creative direction and handled all video editing, shaping the pacing, sequencing, and tone of the official promo video. DJ Mon provided the music mix, while we built the visuals around the rhythm and intensity of the track. The video featured bold text cuts, sharp transitions, and vibrant energy designed to captivate both campus screens and social media. I also designed the official flyer and photographed Young Dolph during an exclusive radio-station interview to add authentic behind-the-scenes content.

Result
The concert drew a strong turnout and became one of the most talked-about events of that homecoming season. The combined efforts in creative direction, editing, and design helped elevate TSU’s concert promotions, reinforcing the university’s reputation for dynamic, culture-driven entertainment.
